Lead and coordinate cross-functional construction teams to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards while ensuring safety compliance and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of construction workers, subcontractors, and engineers to deliver projects that meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Monitor project progress continuously, identify risks proactively, and execute corrective actions to maintain project timelines and standards
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable health, safety, environmental regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and stakeholders by providing timely updates and resolving project-related concerns
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and enhancing construction processes and procedures
- Interpret and apply construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents to guide project execution
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Manager in construction
- Proven ability to deliver construction projects on time and within budget
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and project management methodologies
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills demonstrated through managing projects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
