Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in coordinating daily site operations to ensure smooth project progress.
- Prepare and submit Daily Reports to document site activities and progress.
- Develop and submit Work Inspection Checklists to verify compliance with project standards.
- Manage materials requests and coordinate timely delivery to the site.
- Prepare fabrication requests to support construction requirements.
- Receive, verify, and record materials deliveries, including Goods Delivery Notes (GDN) and Delivery Orders (DO).
- Update drawings and maintain the drawing register, including receipt and issuance of drawings.
- Organize and file all documented records accurately for project traceability.
- Maintain a tidy and organized construction site to minimize risks to personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Plan and arrange material delivery and stacking to reduce double handling and associated risks.
- Coordinate with sub-contractors and other contractors to clarify areas of responsibility and avoid operational confusion.
- Ensure periodic tests, inspections, and maintenance work are conducted according to project requirements.
- Oversee repair and maintenance work on-site to ensure proper execution.
- Develop and maintain correct procedures and systems of work to uphold project standards.
- Respond promptly to plant defects and notify relevant Foremen to remove dangerous equipment from service.
- Manage and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health regulations throughout project execution.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of site experience in the construction field.
- Strong interpersonal skills to professionally engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
