Job Description
The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring works are carried out according to project specifications, safety standards, and schedule requirements. The candidate should possess a Civil Engineering background with experience in structural steel and architectural metal works.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and construction works.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Assist in planning work schedules, manpower deployment, and material coordination.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical details before execution.
- Supervise installation and fabrication works related to:
- Structural steel works
- Architectural metal works
- Railings and balustrades
- Cladding and façade system
- Canopies and custom metal installations
- Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and company safety procedures.
- Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and inspections.
- Prepare site reports, progress updates, and documentation.
- Resolve site coordination and technical issues promptly.
- Monitor material deliveries and subcontractor performance.
JobRequirements
Education & Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant site engineering experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in structural steel works and architectural metal works is required.
- Experience in site supervision and coordination is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Familiarity with construction methodologies and site coordination processes.
Competencies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Good organizational and time management skill.
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with Singapore construction standards and authority requirements.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects is advantageous.
- Knowledge of BIM/Revit coordination is an added advantage.
- Possession of Class 3 driving licence is beneficial.
