Job Summary:
A Site Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing on-site construction activities. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Site Engineer serves as the technical point of contact between design and construction teams and ensures compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, drawings, and specifications.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other professionals on site.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Manage materials, tools, and equipment on site.
Provide technical advice and quality control for construction work.
Prepare reports, site diaries, and progress updates.
Interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
Assist in project planning and scheduling activities.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (2-5+ years) in a site engineering or similar role.
Strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction management software.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
