Site Development Engineering Manager, APAC

Our client is a global Data Centre company experiencing significant growth across Asia Pacific. The business develops and operates large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure supporting cloud, AI, connectivity, and next-generation technology platforms for hyperscale and enterprise customers. With multiple active and planned developments across the region, the company is investing heavily in expanding its market development and infrastructure capabilities.

The Opportunity

This is a strategic regional role focused on supporting the identification, assessment, and development of new infrastructure sites across APAC.

The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating land and technical feasibility for large-scale developments, coordinating with utilities and external stakeholders, and supporting investment and funding approvals for new projects.

This role would suit someone with experience in infrastructure, industrial development, engineering consulting, construction, utilities, telecoms, energy, or related sectors. Data centre experience is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical due diligence and feasibility assessments for new development sites
• Assess power, fibre/connectivity, water, and utility availability for projects
• Liaise with utility providers, telecom vendors, consultants, and government stakeholders
• Support facility sizing, infrastructure planning, and development strategy
• Prepare technical inputs and business cases for investment and funding approvals
• Partner closely with commercial, engineering, construction, and finance teams
• Support regional expansion projects across multiple APAC markets

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in development, infrastructure, engineering, pre-construction, or technical project development
• Experience assessing land, utilities, and infrastructure feasibility for large-scale projects
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills
• Commercial awareness with the ability to contribute to investment and business case discussions
• Experience within mission-critical infrastructure, industrial real estate, energy, telecoms, construction, or engineering environments preferred
• Regional APAC exposure highly advantageous
