Job Description

Provide comprehensive wealth planning and philanthropy advisory services to Private Banking clients, partnering closely with Relationship Managers to identify, originate and develop holistic wealth planning solutions that are aligned with clients wealth preservation, succession, governance, philanthropic and legacy objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides wealth planning support to clients in the Philippines market on matters relating to trusts, succession planning, family governance, family offices, philanthropy, liquidity planning, wealth structuring and intergenerational wealth transfer, taking into account each client's objectives, circumstances, values and family dynamics.
  2. Partners with Relationship Managers in identifying wealth planning opportunities and client needs.
  3. Conducts training for Relationship Managers on wealth planning and philanthropy topics.
  4. Facilitates introductions and referrals to approved external advisors and partners, trustee providers and onshore BDO trustees, in accordance with the Bank's policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
  5. Develops thought leadership and planning ideas, staying updated on regulatory, tax, and market developments relevant to wealth planning and philanthropy.
  6. Develops relevant client marketing pitch decks and internal training materials.
  7. Contributes to the achievement of the Bank's AuM, NNM, revenue and wealth planning implementation targets.
  8. Organizes and hosts client events, seminars, roundtables and thought leadership initiatives to promote client engagement.
  9. Proficiency in Tagalog and/or Hokkien and/or Mandarin would be advantageous, given the sector coverage.
  10. Travels within the region will be required to support client engagement, business development initiatives, training and support to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree law, tax, accounting or finance, or a related discipline
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in wealth planning, private banking, trust and fiduciary services, tax advisory, legal advisory, insurance planning, family office advisory, philanthropy and/or related private wealth disciplines.
  • STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) TEP qualification preferred.
  • Additional relevant professional qualifications such as CFP, CPA or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, their families and professional advisers.
  • Ability to synthesize and coordinate multidisciplinary advice across legal, tax, trust, insurance and investment disciplines.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and convert planning discussions into implementable solutions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a regional, matrix-driven and highly collaborative environment.
