Singapore Interpreter (Japanese language)

Role Description Interpreter (Japanese language) will provide real-time interpretation English and Japanese for meetings, training sessions, conferences, and client engagements. This role involves preparing for assignments by reviewing relevant materials, and industry-specific content, as well as ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication in both directions. This is an on-site role located in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in consecutive and/or simultaneous interpreting in corporate, academic, or public sector settings.
• Ability to prepare and research subject matter in advance of assignments, including technical and industry-specific topics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain neutral, professional, and composed in high-pressure environments.
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail, with the capacity to handle multiple assignments and tight schedules.
• Familiarity with digital tools used in interpretation and virtual collaboration platforms is an advantage.
• Relevant certification or formal training in interpreting or translation is preferred; a diploma or degree in languages, communication, or related fields is beneficial.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and continuous improvement of language skills.
