Job Description
We are seeking a
Simulation & Digital Twin Engineer to join our global team. This role focuses on the simulation of manufacturing processes and production systems, as well as the development and deployment of digital twins to support factory design, automation, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives across global sites.
The ideal candidate combines
strong engineering fundamentals,
hands-on simulation experience, and the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain process and production simulations for manufacturing lines, workcells, and factories.
- Create and manage digital twin models for production systems, including human, robotic, and automated operations.
- Perform capacity analysis, line balancing, and whatif studies to support manufacturing decisions.
- Support virtual commissioning, layout validation, and early-stage design reviews.
- Collaborate with industrial engineering, operations, automation, and R&D teams globally.
- Document models, assumptions, and results in a clear and structured manner.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the fields:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Robotics
- Systems Engineering
- Computer Engineering or Computer Science (with manufacturing or simulation focus)
A Master's degree is preferred for senior roles.
Professional Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or industrial engineering.
- Hands-on experience with process or production simulation.
- Experience modelling manufacturing systems, material flow, or automated production lines.
- Exposure to factory layout planning, capacity planning, or production optimization.
- Experience working in cross-functional and/or global teams.
Technical Skills (Required)
- Process and/or discrete-event simulation.
- Manufacturing systems and production flows.
- Interpretation of production KPIs (cycle time, throughput, utilization, OEE).
- Ability to analyse simulation results and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with one or more of the following platforms Siemen Teknomatix Process Simulate, Plant simulation, NVIDIA Isaac.
- Knowledge of robotics and automation systems, virtual commissioning and PLC concepts, CAD-to-simulation workflows, Python or scripting for simulation automation.
- Experience with digital twin, Industry 4.0, or smart manufacturing initiatives.
- Background in semiconductor, electronics, or high-mix manufacturing environments.

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
