Our Client global leader in defence and maritime technology is seeking a Ships Husbandry SubContract Coordinator to support naval vessels during port calls, maintenance, and repair activities in Singapore.
This role plays a critical part in managing husbandry subcontracts, port services, and logistics, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely execution while coordinating closely with internal teams, ship owners, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer husbandry subcontracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual, and legal requirements
- Coordinate with ship owners, agents, internal operations and procurement teams, and external service providers (workshops, barge operators, port vendors)
- Arrange berthing schedules, port services, supplies, spare parts, waste disposal, and other husbandry requirements
- Support maintenance, repair, and drydock activities for defence vessels in port
- Track purchase orders, costs, and service delivery; support cost control for husbandry services
- Maintain contract and vendor databases; prepare status updates and performance reports
- Provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders on service status, issues, and resolutions
- Ensure all activities meet safety, compliance, and operational standards
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline
- 4+ years of experience in ships husbandry, maritime support, or subcontract coordination
- Familiarity working with port authorities, ship agents, and maritime service providers
- Strong organisational, communication, and problemsolving skills
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Experience in defence or naval vessel environments is an advantage
