Shipping Operation

Responsibilities:

1. Manage daily post-fixture operations and ensure voyage/vessel perform in accordance with Charter Party (C/P) terms.

2. Manage post-fixture voyage administrative tasks, including nominating/appointing agents, monitoring vessel movements, and preparing/paying freight.

3. Issue Voyage Orders per documentation instructions prepare Letters of Indemnity / Delivery Orders to counterparts to ensure timely load/discharge operations.

4. Communicate with internal/external stakeholders to support, manage, and monitor voyage/vessel movements and efficient turnaround, ensuring cargo load/delivery windows are met.

5. Check Bills of Lading and loading/discharging documents for timely issuance and verify any discrepancies.

6. Support the Chartering department in pre-fixture negotiations by providing guidance on port-specific restrictions (especially for chemical trade).

7. Issue fixture, freight, and charter-hire notes as needed ensure payments follow C/P terms update shipment records in system prepare other required reports.

8. Prepare, verify, and negotiate demurrage / post-shipment laytime claims and dispute calculations for settlement and voyage closure.

9. Perform any other ad-hoc activities as required.

Requirements:

1. Preferably Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Maritime/Nautical studies or related field.

2. Preferably 2-3 years of relevant working experience in logistics, ship-owning, or brokering offices.

3. Preferably with experience in chemical tanker operations.

4. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders on daily operations, issues, instructions, and shipment monitoring).

5. Proficient in MS Office applications.

6. Sound commercial awareness knowledge of different charter parties is an advantage.

7. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

9. Proactive with good problem-solving skills - ability to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
