Role Description
This is a specialized role for a Shipping Finance Specialist responsible for supporting financial analysis, investment evaluation, and operational finance activities related to maritime and shipping operations. The Shipping Finance Specialist will be responsible for analyzing financial data, monitoring shipping-related financial performance, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and assisting with financial planning and reporting processes to ensure effective operational and strategic decision-making. Additional responsibilities include conducting market and industry analysis, preparing financial reports, evaluating operational costs, supporting transaction and contract reviews, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders on finance-related matters. The role also involves monitoring market trends, maintaining financial documentation, supporting risk assessment activities, and contributing to process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance. The position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial and operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of shipping finance, financial analysis, and maritime industry operations
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational cost analysis processes
• Ability to analyze financial data, evaluate trends, and support strategic financial decision-making
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with financial systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and operational documentation processes
• Ability to prepare financial reports, analytical summaries, and operational finance documentation effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Understanding of shipping markets, maritime operations, and risk management concepts is an advantage
• Ability to manage multiple financial projects, operational priorities, and reporting deadlines efficiently
