Ship Broker (Tankers)

The Group comprises two operating divisions: Shipbroking, and Corporate Finance. These work together to offer a unique combination of skills for clients, at anytime, anywhere in the world. Shipbrokers act as intermediaries between two parties in the shipping industry.

We are now looking for a Broker to join our vibrant business, based in our Singapore office.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Tankers, you will work alongside colleagues in our Singapore and Atlantic/Pacific region to support the Tankers business from Asia.

Job Responsibilities:

You will have the responsibility of broking on the Tankers Desk.

• You will develop, maintain and enhance relationships with Crude Tankers counter parties.
• You will be required to closely monitor and gather market data to forecast the direction of the markets and advise clients accordingly.
• You will expand and develop contacts with principals from both Owners and Charterers.
• You will work as part of a close knit team to develop Tankers business opportunities across the value chain.

The ideal candidate should be focused with strong attention to detail. With critical thinking skills, you will recognize the value of precision and nuance as much as productivity.

You will have:

• Relevant shipbroking experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
