Supervise the installation and alignment of conveyor systems, material handling equipment and associated electromechanical systems, ensuring that installations are on-time and complete, following the installation schedule, work plan, estimated dealer cost and man-hours.
Works with crews to ensure that paperwork is timely and accurate that all hours and actions are well documented according to company procedures
Reviews site installations to ensure the highest quality workmanship that product is assembled per plan and is levelled, aligned, cleaned and completed to the highest level of detail.
Ensures that material is handled with care and that customer's property is protected and undamaged
Train crews to have are sponsible and technically adept interface with main/sub-contractors, electricians, safety officer, etc.
Ensures that installations and all service work is closed out in a timely manner that punch list resolution is followed up and finished to each customer's satisfaction
Visits site installations on a regular and daily basis, interfacing with leads and installation personnel, customers, and customer third parties, monitoring the progress and quality of the work being done by the installation staff.
Problem-solving during installation in collaboration with the design engineer
Progress reporting on a daily to weekly basis
Requirements:
ITE(NITEC) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Must be willing to travel within the Asia region with occasional travel to Europe or the Middle East.
Good understanding of construction/engineering projects
At least five years of relevant site experience in material handling systems, including conveyor systems, baggage handling systems (BHS), sortation systems, logistics automation, or similar equipment, with a proven track record of hands-on experience as a Site Supervisor.
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills
Additional electrical knowledge would be an additional advantage
Required to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings such as layouts and circuit diagrams.
Knowledge of conveyor components such as drives, motors, sensors, encoders, belts, rollers, safety devices and control interfaces is preferred.
