We are seeking an experienced Service Transition Manager to lead the successful transition of enterprise applications and technology solutions from implementation into stable business-as-usual (BAU) operations. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and governing transition activities across enterprise platforms while ensuring operational readiness, service quality, risk management, and compliance.
The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, infrastructure, application support, vendors, and operations teams to deliver seamless production transitions, system migrations, release deployments, and knowledge transfer activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end service transition activities for enterprise applications, system implementations, migrations, and decommissioning initiatives.
- Develop and manage transition plans, implementation schedules, cutover activities, rollback plans, and operational readiness checklists.
- Coordinate production deployment and release activities to ensure smooth transition into business-as-usual operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, infrastructure teams, application teams, security teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the transition lifecycle.
- Ensure operational readiness by validating support documentation, deployment procedures, monitoring requirements, backup processes, disaster recovery readiness, and service acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer sessions between project teams and operations/support teams.
- Develop and maintain transition documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational guides, implementation plans, cutover checklists, and knowledge repositories.
- Monitor transition risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans to ensure successful service acceptance.
- Facilitate governance meetings, transition reviews, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Support Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities, release governance, deployment approvals, and change management processes.
- Coordinate data migration, system integration, and application deployment activities across enterprise platforms.
- Work closely with architecture, infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to ensure successful implementation and transition outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with organisational governance, security, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous service improvement initiatives by identifying process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT Project Management, Service Transition, Enterprise Application Delivery, Business Analysis, or Technology Transformation.
- Proven experience managing service transition, system implementation, application migration, or enterprise technology transformation projects.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across infrastructure, applications, cloud, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Strong experience in implementation planning, cutover planning, operational readiness, and release management.
- Experience managing enterprise application deployments, integrations, or system decommissioning initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in change management, governance, risk management, and dependency management.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with enterprise platforms such as HR systems, ERP, banking systems, or cloud-based enterprise applications is advantageous.
