Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site installation, validation and commissioning of equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting, service and repairs
- Provide technical support to external customers at their location
- Provide on-site training to the customers
- Timely complete and submit all required paperwork
- Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions
- Misc. other duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Service Technician
Requirements:
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering.
- WSQ certification in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or other relevant safety certifications (advantageous but not mandatory).
Experience & Technical Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in equipment servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance (preferably in industrial weighing systems, automation, or precision instruments).
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and calibration of industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Soft Skills & Work Attributes:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Good customer service and communication skills for liaising with clients and providing technical support.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, handling multiple service assignments.
- Meticulous in documentation for service reports, equipment validation, and compliance paperwork.
- Willingness to travel locally to customer sites and work in industrial environments.
