Service Technician (Exp in Diesel Engine & Hydraulic Systems)

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines and hydraulic systems

• Service equipment such as forklifts, trucks, sweepers, and other industrial machinery

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and carry out corrective actions

• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime

• Inspect and replace defective components (e.g., pumps, valves, hoses, motors, wiring)

• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs

• Maintain service records and ensure proper documentation

• Follow safety procedures and workshop standards at all times

Requirements

• Technical education in Electrical, Electronic, and Mechanical disciplines

• Able to read and understand at least basic to intermediate electrical diagrams (approx. 6/10 proficiency)

• Basic electrical knowledge (e.g., ITE / NITEC / Certificate in Electrical or equivalent)

• Hands-on experience in repair and maintenance of diesel engines and hydraulic systems

• Experience working in any of the following environments:

  • Forklift servicing

  • Truck or automotive workshops

  • Shipyard or marine equipment maintenance

  • Cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuum litter collectors, road cleaning machines)

• Ability to use basic tools, diagnostic equipment, and read technical manuals
