Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and service AV and lighting equipment, manage parts and components inventory, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with overseas suppliers for RMAs. The role requires strong technical problem-solving, good communication in English, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair faulty AV and lighting equipment, assemblies, and components.
  • Diagnose faults, perform troubleshooting, and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Manage parts and components inventory: monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, issue purchase requests, and maintain organized storage.
  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers for RMAs: prepare documentation, arrange shipping, track status, and keep customers informed.
  • Prepare clear service reports and maintain accurate service records in the company's systems.
  • Work both in the workshop and on-site as required support installations or commissioning when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to manage expectations and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Education/Experience: Diploma or certificate in Electronics, Electrical, AV, Mechatronics, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
  • Technical skills: Basic to intermediate understanding of electronics/electrical systems ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics familiarity with AV lighting equipment is a plus.
  • Computer skills: Basic PC skills (MS Office) ability to use inventory/ERP or service management tools comfortable learning new software.
  • Language: Good command of spoken and written English additional languages are a bonus.
  • Personal attributes: Independent, reliable, and able to multitask strong troubleshooting mindset good time management and organizational skills.
  • Work arrangement: 5-day work week (Monday to Friday) standard hours 9:00 AM-6:00 PM overtime or on-call involvement may be required occasionally.
  • Other: Must have the right to work in Singapore willingness to travel for RMAs or customer support if needed physical capability to handle equipment and components.
