Role Summary

The AGS Sales role is responsible for growing Applied Global Services revenue by engaging customers on their installed base and technology roadmap, identifying service opportunities, and converting them into profitable bookings. The role partners closely with Field Service, Service Business Units, and Commercial teams to deliver value‑based service solutions that improve customer productivity while meeting Applied Materials business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Account Ownership

  • Own the end‑to‑end service commercial relationship for assigned customer account(s)
  • Engage customer stakeholders to understand technology direction, operational challenges, and business priorities
  • Build trusted, long‑term partnerships focused on customer value and outcomes

Service Growth & Bookings

  • Identify, develop, and close service opportunities including:
    • Standard Service & Managed Service Agreements (MSA)
    • Performance‑based services
    • Paid services, upgrades, conversions, and expansions
  • Drive CSA tool count, order bookings in line with annual revenue and margin targets
  • Lead pricing, commercial structuring, and contract negotiations in alignment with internal policies

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with:
    • Field Service Organization (FSO) - to understand tool performance and fab‑level realities
    • Service Business Units (SBU) & FabVantage - to align services to customer technology needs
    • Business Development & Marketing - for portfolio positioning and growth initiatives
    • Legal, Contracts, Finance, and GCC - to ensure compliant and executable contracts
  • Serve as the single commercial point of coordination across functions for the customer

Pipeline & Forecast Management

  • Build and maintain a strong service sales pipeline
  • Ensure forecast accuracy through disciplined opportunity management
  • Support regional and corporate planning through timely and transparent reporting

Commercial Discipline & Governance

  • Ensure all offerings comply with entitlement, contract, and pricing governance
  • Balance customer expectations with Applied Materials risk, margin, and delivery capabilities
  • Proactively identify and escalate commercial risks and misalignments

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Preferably with experience in sales, account management, or service commercial roles
  • Strong ability to navigate complex, cross‑functional organizations
  • Customer‑centric mindset with strong negotiation and communication skills
