We are currently seeking a Service & Repair Technician to join our Aerospace team in our Gul Circle, Singapore office
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding and bench fitting repair on aero engine hardware in accordance with approved manuals and repair documents. Meet drawing and weld specifications requirements using various air tools, shop equipment, and hand tools.
- Proficient at welding different materials (Aluminum, Corrosion Heat Resistant Steel, Nickel Alloy, Titanium, Cobalt Alloy) on aero-engine hardware.
- General knowledge of usage of air tools, shop equipment and hand tools.
- Inspect finished product and accurately use various industry standard measuring tools for weld examinations.
- Ensures that work carried out meets the required quality as stated in the respective manuals and technical documents.
- Perform equipment maintenance via establish TPM guidelines.
- Practice 5S principals and maintain work area for operation and cleanliness
- Initiates & implements continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and quality.
Responsibilities
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Must have at least a NTC certificate or higher and be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Current certification in TIG Welding and able to achieve ASTM D17.1 and CAAS SAR requirements added advantage.
- Min 3-5 years welding experience in various materials.
- Must be able to interpret blueprint drawings and use of aircraft component manuals and/or publications.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal communication skills.
- Committed and willing to work in welding environment.
- Good understanding of 5S and TPM concepts.
- Must have basic computer skills. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Experience and understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools will be an added advantage.
