Job Summary

Service Registrars are experienced doctors with postgraduate qualifications who undertake clinical duties including supervising Medical and House Officers, providing inpatient and outpatient care, admitting patients under specialist supervision, and performing ward rounds during on-call hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Medical and House Officers to ensure effective clinical care and professional development
• Provide general inpatient and outpatient medical care to patients under supervision of accredited specialist doctors
• Admit patients responsibly following clinical guidelines and specialist oversight
• Conduct ward rounds during night shifts, outside office hours, and on admitting nights to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans
• Maintain active clinical practice to deliver up-to-date medical care and support hospital operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold a basic medical degree registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
• Possess postgraduate medical qualifications (e.g., MRCP, MRCS) registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
• Have completed Basic Specialist Training or equivalent advanced specialist training
• Maintain active clinical practice status
