The Service Manager, SEA & Tw is responsible for scaling and driving the service business and operation forward through DHR LEAN management approach, meeting operation metrics, ensuring resources optimization and leading people development. He/she has overall accountability to build a profitable and sustainable service business, collaborate with sales operations to drive growth, and effective management of CP service teams, as well as radically increasing customer satisfaction. When need arises, he/she will be able to provide field support, technical consultation and related activities.

This position reports direct to the Service Director, APJ and dotted line to General Manager, SEA & Tw and is part of the customer support function located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • To drive growth in service business and manage service P&L
  • To drive service operation excellence and meet all service metrics
  • To drive team engagement and develop team's competency
  • To drive company sales and work closely with sales & support managers
  • To ensure customer satisfaction and ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) is delivered

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Experience in the Field Service Delivery operation, especially in medical devices, life science instruments, and healthcare equipment industry.
  • Proven ability to drive service business and continuous growth
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in after-sales service function, with at least 5 years experience in people and team management
  • Ability to motivate, provide leadership and a participative organizational climate to selectively attract and retain professional staff.
  • Mindset to continuously improve processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex business issues and isolate root causes and work towards a simpler and more efficient process. Service minded.
  • Good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - 20 - 30% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to attend regional and global meetings at nonstandard local office time

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrated experience in people development
  • Demonstrated knowledge in DBS and/or lean management
