The Role:
We are looking for a Service Manager who is detail-oriented, technology-aware, and comfortable operating in client-facing environments. This role is required to focus on Singapore local projects, particularly government and semi-government customers, while continuing to support selected international accounts.
The Service Manager builds and maintains long-term customer relationships and acts as the bridge between customers and Univers O&M and internal teams. The role focuses on service oversight, stakeholder management, and coordination, ensuring smooth and sustainable daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Represent Univers O&M team in customer-facing discussions, especially for Singapore government and semi-government projects, to understand service requirements and concerns.
- Act internally as the voice of the customer, coordinating with O&M, product, engineering, sales, and partners to address customer needs.
- Maintain a professional and structured engagement style suitable for regulated and formal environments.
- Oversee service delivery, including SLAs, reporting, and escalation, particularly for Singapore local projects.
- Ensure O&M-related billing and payment schedules are followed, and work with Sales teams to upsell Univers products and services where appropriate.
- Understand the basics of cloud technologies and microservices, and clearly explain product features to customers while translating requirements back to technical and sales teams.
- Drive client meetings and provide timely service and operations reports based on defined metrics.
- Coordinate external vendors and partners involved in Univers O&M service delivery.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computing, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role such as Service Account Manager or Technical Account Manager.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, systems administration, networking, DevOps, troubleshooting, or application development.
- Experience in vendor and partner management.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Singapore government, statutory boards, GLCs, or regulated enterprises.
- Familiarity with public sector service governance and structured reporting.
- Experience in consulting firms or internet/technology companies.
- Understanding of IoT technologies.
