This technical expert is responsible for diagnostics, software updates, repairs, and technical training, ensuring the reliability and peak performance of the vehicle's electrical architecture. This role requires frequent local and overseas travel to customer sites.
- Serve all electrical, electronic, and control system failures, minimizing reliance on mechanical or hydraulic repairs.
- Repair or replace components such as wiring harnesses, connectors, circuit boards, relays, fuses, and associated electrical peripherals.
- Execute mandatory firmware and software updates to VCUs and other electronic components to improve performance, fix bugs, or implement new features.
- Document all system configurations and software versions on service reports.
- Provide technical support and detailed guidance to customer maintenance teams, focusing on electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Conduct specialized training for customer personnel on the latest electrical components, system functionality, and advanced diagnostic procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive, detailed technical reports on all service activities, fault codes logged, diagnostic steps taken, and root cause analysis, ensuring complete and accurate documentation for warranty and quality teams.
- Ability to travel frequently, both locally and internationally, often requiring flexible scheduling to meet critical customer demands.
- Manage travel logistics and ensure all necessary diagnostic tools and specialized electrical testers are secured for each assignment.
