Marine, Manufacturing(Machinery)
Our client is a leading Japanese company specializing in marine engines and heavy machinery. They are currently seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join their team. This role involves onboard assignments, maintenance of main engines, inspections, and occasional customer visits in collaboration with the sales team.
You will report directly to the Project Leader.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective technical support for assigned projects.
- Carry out onboard maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works for main engines.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of machinery and equipment when required.
- Conduct inspections and clearly explain technical issues and findings to customers.
- Accompany the sales team for customer visits as needed (approximately once per week).
- Support the Supervisor and/or Project Leader in all aspects of project execution.
- Respond directly to customer inquiries after one year, subject to performance and readiness.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in marine service engineering
- Strong hands-on experience and technical knowledge of marine diesel engines
- Proven experience working on main engines (documentation or evidence required)
- Posses a valid Class 3 driving licence-
- Proficient in English to communicate effectively with customers and counterpart
- Willingness to travel overseas on short notice
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word)
