Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing and repairs of deepwell and submerged pumps on LPG and LNG tankers.
- Carry out maintenance and repair work on safety valves and cargo compressors for LPG and LNG vessels.
- Troubleshoot issues related to pumps, safety valves, and compressors to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Conduct repair and service tasks both during voyages and while vessels are docked at shipyards.
- Assignments typically last 1-3 weeks, handled by teams of 1-2 Service Engineers.
- Work is performed worldwide, either onboard during sailing or in dry-dock, with an expected travel commitment of around 160 days per year.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum requirement: Higher Nitec or Diploma in Marine, Mechanical, or related engineering disciplines.
- Prior experience in a similar role within the maritime industry is advantageous.
- Reliable, responsible, and trusted by both colleagues and customers.
- Proactive, motivated, and able to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Displays loyalty, positivity, and a professional yet approachable attitude.
- Strong customer service orientation with good interpersonal skills.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with LPG/LNG carriers is preferred.
- Able to work independently, travel internationally on short notice, and adapt to irregular working hours.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Competent in documentation and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
