Perform installation, commissioning, routine servicing, and troubleshooting of monitoring and safety products such as oil mist detectors and engine safety systems.
Conduct diagnostic checks, identify faults, and carry out necessary repairs or component replacements.
Ensure all work is carried out according to manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
Provide onsite and remote technical support to shipowners, shipyards, OEMs, and service partners.
Analyse system issues and propose effective engineering solutions.
Prepare accurate service reports, including findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
Liaise with customers to schedule service jobs and ensure timely execution of projects.
Communicate technical issues clearly and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery.
Support spare parts identification and recommend system upgrades when necessary.
Maintain detailed records of service activities, equipment performance, and parts used.
Ensure compliance with internal QA procedures and industry safety standards.
Assist in preparing technical documentation, service manuals, and training materials when required.
Travel within Singapore and overseas (Asia region) for vessel attendance, shipyard projects, and technical support visits.
Collaborate with global technical teams for product updates, system improvements, and technical training.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Previous experience in marine engineering, engine automation, or shipboard systems is an advantage.
Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with electrical/electronic components.
Willingness to work onboard vessels, in shipyards, and travel when required.
Good communication skills, customer-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with marine safety systems or oil mist detection systems is preferred but not essential (training provided).
