Our mission is to deliver safe, compliant, and value‑adding services while maintaining consistent global service standards. As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in upholding these standards and representing the company through professional service delivery in the field.
What you will be doing:
The Service Engineer is responsible for performing repair and maintenance activities in accordance with customer service agreements. The role carries technical accountability for service delivery and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction within the assigned market in Singapore.
Working independently or in collaboration with Authorized Service Partners (ASP), the Service Engineer responds to customer requests in a timely, efficient, and professional manner, while complying with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:

- Report and escalate all matters related to Safety, Health and Environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Perform field service activities, including disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, replacement of parts, and reassembly of pumps, pump systems, and associated accessories.
- Advise customers on system‑level deficiencies that may lead to operational issues, and propose appropriate preventive or corrective solutions.
- Support the manager by identifying and resolving service and warranty‑related issues; engage Technical Support for complex cases when required.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely service reports, including documentation for warranty claims, working hours, and field activity systems (e.g. FAS).
- Register and document identified product quality issues in the relevant systems for follow‑up and continuous improvement.
- Provide installation support, commissioning, and project execution assistance as required.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance services in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Communicate relevant technical, commercial, and operational feedback to internal stakeholders, including Sales, Service Sales, and Operations, and share identified sales or service leads.
- Prepare technical input and cost estimates for out‑of‑warranty repair quotations.
- Collect and maintain installed base information to support service planning and lifecycle management.
- Continuously develop technical and hands‑on service capabilities through training and on‑the‑job learning.
- Demonstrate proficient and safe use of service tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Act in accordance with Grundfos core values, taking ownership of personal actions and ensuring the safety and well‑being of colleagues, partners, and customers.
What makes you a great fit:
Above all, you are a hands-on technical professional with strong diagnostic skills, a customer-first mindset, and proven experience servicing pumps, rotating equipment, or industrial mechanical systems. We would also imagine that you have:
- 5+ years of experience in field service engineering, preferably with pumps, rotating equipment, or industrial mechanical systems
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent)
