Service Engineer

The position holder is responsible for maintaining and servicing a range of well-known diesel generators ranging from 10KVA to 4MW and both HT and LT generators. He/She will be reporting to the team Senior Engineer / Team Leader.

Key Tasks:

• Work closely with the Senior Engineer / Team Leader Senior tech and techs of the service operation team supporting follow-up quotes to affected customers

• Understand all engine-related issues and also the scope of work for the top and major overhauls

• Able to understand and carry calibration and submit reports accordingly

• Strong understanding of the RA and MOS procedure, safety, and all government-related safe work procedures with regard to maintenance and repair.

• Develop as many solution methods as possible, attempting to keep costs low

• Explain all service options to customers including time and cost estimates if needed

• Provide in-depth information on original equipment manufacture (OEM) part options, and the ability to access the portal

• Track maintenance or repair status, fill out reports on labor and cost of all services

• Perform post-service inspection with customers and answer any questions they may have

• Update the database for the generators under contract

• Able to formulate quotes for engine / mechanical works when needed and follow up

Requirements:

• NTC / Diploma or equivalent required

• Have basic experience related to maintenance and repair works

• Have good skill sets for engine works and repair, and understand the requirements

• Ability to explain complicated engineering concepts to visitors who may not be familiar with industry terminology

• Possess valid Singapore class 3 driving license.
