Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with marine engines, auxiliary engine, steering systems, and other components etc.
• Perform repairs on inboard and outboard engines, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems
• Conduct routine maintenance to ensure all shipboard system are working in satisfactory order
• Ensure the cleanliness of ship and engine room when onboard
• Provide detailed reports on work performed and explain the nature of repairs and services to customers
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to marine service and repairs
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including time, parts used, and labor
• Utilize service management software to log and track repairs and maintenance tasks
• Work closely with other technicians and service team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed
• Any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent technical certification or associate degree in marine mechanics or related field preferred
• Knowledge of marine vessels systems, including electric motors, generators, batteries, power management systems, and control systems is an advantage
• Familiarity with marine vessel propulsion systems, including diesel engines, gas turbines, and electric propulsion technologies
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine service and repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and marine service equipment
• Knowledge of marine engines and aux engines
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
