Job Description

Service Engineer (Clean Factory Automation) (Ref: 35304)
Location: North

Our client is a manufacturing company, focusing on automated and machinery products. They are looking for a Service Engineer for their Clean Factory Automation department. The Service Engineer will be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cleanroom automated material handling systems (AMHS).

【Responsibilities】

  • Install, test, and calibrate AMHS equipment in the initial phase of a project
  • Carry out regular inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance after the initial phase of the project
  • Perform troubleshooting and recovery tasks to minimize the downtime of AMHS
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new and junior members when required
  • Draft service and maintenance reports for both submission to customers and for internal quality control
  • Liaise with customers to arrange schedules for jobs and to update customers on work progress
  • Supervise work done by sub-contractors for installation and mechanical modifications
  • Coordinate with company logistics support staff on matters of parts ordering and delivery

【Requirements & Preferences】

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Inexperienced candidates who are willing to learn are welcome to apply.
  • Must be comfortable working in cleanroom environments and, when required, supporting extended working hours to meet operational needs.
  • Able to participate in a 24-hour rotational standby schedule for equipment breakdown support at customer sites (once per month after probation, with standby allowance provided).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin are essential to effectively liaise with English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including customers and business partners.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites within Singapore and overseas, including the US, Europe, and Japan, when required.

(Advantageous)

  • Experience in cleanroom Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a multinational or Japanese business environment would be advantageous.
