Job Description

Specialty coffee in the CBD. Weekday operations. Weekends and public holidays off.

The Details

  • Salary: S$2,200 - S$2,500 / month (based on experience)
  • Hours: 5-day work week, 9 hours per shift including breaks
  • Typical shifts: 6:30am - 4:00pm (opening) or 8:30am - 6:00pm (closing). Outlets close evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Off days: Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays
  • Location: Singapore Central Business District
  • Benefits: CPF contributions, medical leave, AWS (subject to performance), staff coffee and meal during shifts, F&B staff discount, and structured progression reviews.
  • Start date: June 2026 or by arrangement

About the Role

At Slab, the counter is where the brand is felt. You will be part of a small team that takes hospitality seriously, supports each other through the morning rush, and grows together as we open new outlets.

As Service Crew, you are the first and last impression of our café. You take orders, handle the till, keep the floor clean, and make sure every customer leaves with a smooth, professional experience. The role is fast-paced and customer-facing - speed, accuracy, and warmth matter equally. You play a direct part in how our brand is felt at the counter, and how efficiently the café runs during peak hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve customers with a warm, professional, and consistent manner.
  • Take orders accurately at the counter, POS, or via mobile and delivery platforms.
  • Handle cashiering, payments, and refunds with care and accuracy.
  • Communicate clearly with the bar and kitchen team to keep ticket flow smooth.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, seating area, condiment station, and customer-facing zones.
  • Restock cups, lids, packaging, retail items, and condiments through the day.
  • Manage queues during peak hours with composure and clear communication.
  • Handle customer feedback respectfully and escalate to the supervisor when needed.
  • Support opening, closing, and cleaning duties as part of daily operations.

Requirements

  • Reliable, punctual, and presentable.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
  • Good basic communication skills in English.
  • Able to stand for extended periods during a shift.
  • Prior experience in F&B, retail, or customer service is a plus, but not essential.
