We are partnering with a leading global technology services provider supporting one of the world's largest hyperscale infrastructure environments.
They are seeking a Server Operations Engineer to support large-scale production infrastructure operations across data centre and colocation environments supporting globally distributed platforms.
This role sits within a fast-paced operational environment focused on server infrastructure, hardware troubleshooting, physical connectivity, Linux-based diagnostics, and vendor coordination across mission-critical production infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot server hardware, physical connectivity, optics, fibre infrastructure, and related production issues within live environments
- Perform server break/fix activities and coordinate troubleshooting across hardware, cabling, circuits, and connectivity issues
- Use Linux command line tools to perform diagnostics, connectivity checks, log analysis, and infrastructure troubleshooting
- Support Layer 1 physical troubleshooting activities across server and network infrastructure environments
- Coordinate Smart Hands / Remote Hands vendors and onsite technicians during incidents, maintenance, and implementation activities
- Manage circuit MACDs including moves, adds, changes, and disconnections
- Coordinate with ISPs, colocation providers, vendors, and internal operations teams to resolve production issues
- Track and manage infrastructure requests, tickets, inventory records, and operational updates through internal systems and JIRA
- Support server, circuit, and spares inventory management and perform regular infrastructure audits
- Execute maintenance activities and follow detailed operational procedures, technical instructions, and MOPs
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and provide implementation reporting where required
- Support production operations environments with a strong focus on uptime, operational standards, and process adherence
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting operational incidents and maintenance activities
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience within Data Centre Operations, Server Operations, Infrastructure Operations, or Enterprise IT Infrastructure environments
- Experience troubleshooting server hardware and physical infrastructure issues within production environments
- Strong understanding of fibre infrastructure, optics, cabling, physical connectivity, and hardware troubleshooting
- Basic Linux/Unix command line troubleshooting experience
- Experience working within ticketing systems such as JIRA or similar platforms
- Experience coordinating with vendors, field engineers, Smart Hands teams, colocation providers, or ISPs
- Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation skills across hardware, infrastructure, connectivity, and operational processes
- Experience following MOPs, operational procedures, and technical implementation documentation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple operational teams and external providers
- Able to work independently within fast-paced operational environments
