KGI is building a digital-first trading platform that serves retail investors and active traders across Asia. We are looking for a highly motivated SEO Manager to own our organic growth from the ground up.
You will build KGI's search presence in a region where the battleground for retail trading clients is intensifying from Singapore to Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and beyond. Your goal is straightforward: make KGI the first name futures retail traders find when they search for futures trading in Asia.
The Role: What You'll Do
- Own the Organic Playbook: Build KGI's SEO strategy from the ground across all markets. Define the keyword universe, content architecture, and technical foundation that will drive qualified traffic to our platform at launch and sustain it at scale.
- Aggressive Keyword Capture: Identify the highest value search opportunities in each target market. Map the full funnel from broad investing intent to high converting futures trading queries and systematically own every layer.
- Content Machine: Work with writers, product, and compliance to produce content that ranks and converts. Educational articles, product landing pages, trading guides - all optimised, all compliant, all designed to move a potential client down the funnel.
- Technical Foundation: Audit and fix the things most marketing teams ignore. Core Web Vitals, crawlability, site architecture, hreflang for multilingual markets. Get the infrastructure right before the platform goes live.
- Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): Ensure KGI's platform and content are structured to surface prominently in AI-generated answers across tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. As traders increasingly use AI search to find brokers and compare platforms, being cited as a credible source in those outputs is a competitive advantage we intend to build early.
- Optimise for Scale: Treat SEO like a product. Run experiments, build playbooks, document what works, and replicate it as we enter each new market. What works in Singapore should be deployable in Kuala Lumpur in weeks, not months.
- Cross-Functional Orchestrator: Drive alignment between marketing, IT, compliance, and product. Translate SEO requirements into clear briefs for developers, ensure all content clears MAS and regional regulatory requirements, and coordinate timing with the broader launch calendar.
Who You Are
- A 0 to 1 Builder: You have built an organic channel from scratch before. You know what it takes to go from zero domain authority and zero content to a pipeline of qualified traffic. You are not intimidated by a blank slate.
- High Agency: You do not wait to be told what to prioritise. You run your own audit, form your own hypotheses, and execute. You are comfortable owning a channel with limited oversight and high accountability.
- Technically Fluent: You are not just a content person. You understand how search engines work at a technical level such as crawling, indexing, rendering, structured data. You can talk to a developer and be understood.
- Market Aware: You understand the retail trading and investment landscape in Asia. You know that a futures trader in Singapore has different search behaviour than one in Bangkok, and you build your strategy accordingly.
- Growth Obsessed: You live in the data. You track organic traffic, keyword rankings, click-through rates, and conversion from search. You would rather own 20 high-intent keywords than rank for 200 irrelevant ones.
- The Essentials: 5+ years in SEO, Content Marketing, or Digital Growth (Fintech or Financial Services strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, and at least one major SEO platform (SEMrush, or equivalent).
- Experience managing SEO across multiple markets or languages.
- Fluent in English. Mandarin fluency is a bonus.
