Senior Yakitori Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

. Assist Head Chef with daily prep, cooking and quality control

. Oversee inventory control, procurement of ingredients and storage

. Assist to train and guide kitchen staff

. Enforce strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

. Ensure orderliness, cleanliness and proper set up of kitchen

. Serving customers at the counter

Job Requirements:

. Solid foundation in Japanese cuisine with at least 5 years of professional kitchen experience

. Experience working in a Yakitori restaurant or strong knowledge of Yakitori techniques is a strong advantage

. Familiar with the Japanese cuisine supply chain in Singapore

. Has strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene

. Strong communication skills, calm under pressure and capable of handling issues independently

. Ability to speak Japanese is preferred
