Job Responsibilities :
Senior Workplace Safety & Health (WSH)
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Workplace Safety and Health Management System in compliance with Ministry of Manpower Singapore and relevant statutory requirements
- Oversee and conduct comprehensive risk assessments (RA), safe work procedures (SWP), and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for all site activities, including PPVC installation works
- Plan, organise, and lead regular site safety inspections, audits, and management walkthroughs to identify unsafe conditions and practices
- Drive proactive hazard identification and implement effective risk control measures, ensuring timely rectification and closure of all safety observations
- Lead and manage incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis, and implement preventive and corrective actions
- Prepare detailed WSH reports, statistics, and documentation for internal management and external authorities
- Organise and conduct safety induction programmes, toolbox meetings, safety trainings, and safety campaigns to promote a strong safety culture on site
- Enforce site safety rules and ensure all workers, subcontractors, and visitors comply with safety regulations and PPE requirements
- Liaise closely with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on all WSH-related matters
- Support WSH Committee meetings and contribute to continuous safety improvement initiatives
- Provide leadership and guidance to the site safety team and ensure effective execution of WSH and environmental functions
- Coordinate closely with construction teams to integrate safety and environmental considerations into daily operations, especially for PPVC installation activities
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and environmental control measures submitted by subcontractors
- Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental sustainability across the project
Environmental Control (ECO Duties)
- Lead the planning and implementation of environmental control measures in accordance with National Environment Agency Singapore regulations and project environmental management plans
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental requirements, including noise control, air pollution (dust), water discharge, waste management, and vector control measures
- Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits, and ensure prompt rectification of any non-compliance issues
- Oversee proper handling, storage, and disposal of construction waste and hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare, maintain, and submit all environmental reports, records, and documentation required by authorities
- Liaise with relevant authorities, consultants, and stakeholders on environmental matters, including inspections and audits
- Promote environmental awareness on site and ensure all site personnel adhere to environmental best practices
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Safety, Health and Environmental Management
- Must be a registered WSH Officer with MOM
- Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in building construction projects
- Experience in PPVC projects will be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of local WSH and environmental regulations
- Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Able to work independently and manage site safety effectively
