(Senior) Writer

About your role:

We're looking for a passionate and driven (Senior) Writer to join the Eatbook team. In this role, you'll pitch and produce engaging food content for Eatbook.sg and branded client projects, develop in-depth long-form features through research and interviews, and contribute to our social media presence through compelling organic content. If you have a strong interest in food, a knack for storytelling, and enjoy uncovering unique angles that resonate with audiences, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will do:

Writing & Content Creation

• Pitch and produce content for Eatbook.sg and client projects
• Develop long-form features, including research and interviews, to maintain a strong pipeline of in-depth food content
• Execute organic content for social media, including Instagram Stories, captions, and related duties

Team Support & Mentorship (for senior role)

• Assist editors with content planning and execution
• Mentor and guide interns, including managing their work, motivating them, and supporting their well-being

A successful candidate should have:

• At least 1 year of experience (3 years for senior role) in content writing, editorial, journalism, media, or digital publishing (food content experience is a strong advantage)
• Degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, or related disciplines is advantageous
• Strong command of written English, with the ability to craft engaging, accurate, and reader-friendly content
• Proven ability to pitch story ideas and identify trends that resonate with online audiences
• Comfortable conducting research and interviews to develop in-depth, long-form features
• Passion for food culture and the F&B scene in Singapore
• Meticulous with fact-checking, grammar, and attention to detail
• Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus
• Portfolio of published writing samples is required
