Senior Welder

Job Description:

. Produce or weld metal products according to design-required specifications.

. Read and interpret diagrams, drawings, sketches and blueprints to take/read measurements to plan required materials, procedures and timeframes for projects.

. Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment.

. Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.

. Align components using callipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.

. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

. Ensure clean weld joint to obtain smooth look.

. Analyze speed and length of welding arc for all welding process.

. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Job Requirements:

. Technical certificates from recognized institutes preferably in welding related courses or equivalent.

. Preferably 2 years of relevant experiences in the metal welding.

. Qualified in basic welding process to fabricate and assemble metal structures through the use of welding machines, cutters, shapers and measuring tools.

. Able to operate hand tools or equipment and tools.

. Knowledge in operation of welding equipment and tools.

. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

. Good communication skills essential.

. Self-starter with strong initiative and able to work with limited supervision.

. Able to work weekend and overtime as and when required.
