The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP) to join the Consumer Goods & Healthcare Industry team within United Overseas Bank Ltd's Sector Solutions Group. The SVP will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, and contributing significantly to the bank's growth and profitability.
Job Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives aligned with the bank's overall objectives.
- Oversee the financial performance and operational efficiency of assigned departments or business units.
- Originate and develop new clients within the sector coverage.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulators.
- Prepare and present regular reports and strategic recommendations to senior management and the board.
- Represent the bank in external forums, industry events, and client engagements.
Job Qualifications**
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic initiatives and achieving business objectives.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, banking products, services, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, drive change, and make sound business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Consumer Goods and Healthcare sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
