About the Role
The Senior Vice President | Design Delivery will act as a hybrid leader across business development, technical design oversight, project execution, and contractual strategy, supporting the pursuit and delivery of large-scale projects across semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and data center sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end strategy for design delivery, from early-stage business development through to construction planning and execution.
- Drive major tender pursuits, including technical positioning, solution development, partner alignment, and client engagement.
- Provide expert oversight and critical review of designs across architectural, structural, civil, MEP, process, and specialist systems.
- Bridge business development and execution by translating client requirements into practical, buildable, and commercially viable solutions.
- Lead project planning, delivery strategy, and execution oversight for large-scale, mission-critical and advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Support contract structuring, risk identification, and legal review to strengthen commercial positioning and mitigate exposure.
- Act as a senior interface with clients, consultants, contractors, joint venture partners, and government stakeholders.
- Navigate and align cross-cultural teams across Asia, including internal corporate stakeholders and external partners.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project health, delivery risks, cost exposure, and programme milestones.
- Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, design, commercial, procurement, and construction functions.
- Drive collaboration and cohesion across diverse teams, ensuring alignment despite cultural, technical, and organisational differences.
- Ensure all delivery strategies meet the highest standards of quality, safety, compliance, and schedule performance.
Qualifications
- Extensive leadership experience in design delivery, construction, or project execution for large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical projects.
- Proven track record managing complex regional portfolios or major tenders (USD 100M+) across Asia.
- Strong sector experience in at least one of the following: Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Data Centers, or Advanced Manufacturing Facilities.
- Deep technical understanding of MEP systems, cleanrooms, high-spec facilities, utilities, and construction sequencing.
- Demonstrated ability to review, challenge, and optimise technical designs for constructability, cost, and performance.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience in contract negotiation, risk management, and legal review.
- Experience operating in multi-cultural environments, with the ability to lead and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High level of adaptability to work within a structured, process-oriented corporate culture, with sensitivity to hierarchical decision-making.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior executives, clients, and partners.
- Proven ability to inspire, align, and lead diverse teams under pressure, particularly in complex and ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel across Asia and support major regional project opportunities.
