Job Summary

Our client is seeking a senior trader to join their cross-functional investments team in Singapore or Hong Kong. This is a high-impact role which is essential in executing loan/bond trades in emerging markets across Asia-Pacific. The ideal candidate is a commercially driven trader with demonstrated success in deal origination and execution across liquid and illiquid credit markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing the buying and selling of loans and bonds
  • Sourcing and originating primary credit transactions across Asia
  • Manage FX conversions and heading for transactions
  • Establish and maintain relationships with brokers and arrangers with sell-side brokers and arrangers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to, portfolio managers, research analysts, trade support and compliance
  • Identifying and monitoring industry and market events, and assessing the impact on portfolio

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 - 15 years credit trading experience in Asian markets, specializing in bonds and loans
  • Strong understanding of credit structures, pricing and relative value in developed and emerging Asian markets
  • Established network of counterparties across regional and global financial institutions
  • Proven track record of successful trade execution in both liquid and illiquid markets
  • Deep understanding of macroeconomic drivers, risk pricing and emerging market dynamics
