Responsibilities
- Creating and analysing spatial data using GIS software such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and QGIS.
- Identifying urban patterns and trends through spatial data mapping and geodatabase design.
- Designing digital maps using geographic and other data sources.
- Converting various spatial data formats into GIS formats like .shp and vice versa, including georeferencing.
- Producing maps that display the spatial distribution of various data types.
- Generating reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations.
- Managing a digital library of geographic maps in various file formats.
- Developing mapping applications and customized tools to meet business requirements.
- Creating customized web applications, web services, mobile solutions, and enterprise solutions.
- Developing geoprocessing and GIS web services.
- Creating GIS web editing and mapping applications.
- Managing existing WebGIS cloud applications and services.
- Conducting training sessions for clients and in-house teams.
Requirements
- Degree with a specialization in Applied GIS/Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing/Cartography/Geography or any related to Geospatial science field.
- Minimum 2-5 years experience with relevant skill sets in GIS concepts, ArcGIS desktop, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS server, ArcGIS Portal, Global Mapper,Autocad , Photoshop , Python (ArcPy),
- Extensive experience in creating base maps and thematic maps, GIS analysis, terrain analysis,
- flood analysis, and socio-economic analysis
- Proficient in using ESRI and Open GIS software products
- Skilled in designing and building geodatabases
- Proven expertise in developing GIS applications using Esri ArcGIS APIs and SDKs
- Experienced in configuring and customizing Web GIS applications
- Candidates with additional experience will be considered for a senior role.
