Senior Underwriting Specialist

In this role, you will assess medical and financial risks of applicants for life and health insurance policies. As part of this dynamic role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate the risk and exposures of potential clients.

Job Description:

Assess medical and financial risks of applicants for life and health insurance policies

Make decisions, within the given authority, that are consistent with underwriting standards and compatible with market trends

Review cases with complex medical conditions and multiple risk factors

Process a customer request end to end

Provide support and services to Financial Consultants on matters relating to underwriting

Be involved in ad hoc projects

Who we are looking for:

Sound knowledge of medical conditions, insurance laws & regulations

Good understanding of insurance products

Customer-oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills

Confident in problem solving and decision making

Possesses project management skills

Proficient in MS Office
