Senior Underwriter / Senior Executive NB UW

Assess and underwrite life and health insurance applications (new business and policy servicing) and decide if the risk can be accepted
Explain underwriting decisions and requirements to the sales channels
Provide service support and liaison for the sales channels
Assist the sales channels on their queries related to underwriting requirements and underwriting decision
Liaise with reinsurers on complex cases or refer cases to reinsurer if sum at risk exceeds treaty limits
Check and sign off underwriting requirement letters and special terms letters prior to release
To be involved in adhoc duties or projects related to underwriting

Requirements:

At least a diploma or degree
A degree in Insurance or Biomedical Science or Life Science would be an added advantage
At least 5 years of experience in life and health underwriting
Experience in Singapore life insurance market will be preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Team player with good interpersonal skills
Committed, take ownership and results-driven
