Job Description

What's this Role about

Reporting to the manager, Industry Practices, playing a crucial role by assessing and evaluating the risks involved in insuring. The role provides a fantastic opportunity for those further looking to develop their knowledge and expertise in the Underwriting space.

This role requires a strong understanding of insurance policies, principles and procedures, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
1. Underwrite Cyber risk in Singapore and achieve annual top and bottom line financial goals.

2. Work with the Head of Financial Lines to develop and implement the cyber strategy in Singapore.

3. Ad hoc underwriting in other financial lines products such as D&O, Crime, PI, and FI, with cross-sell opportunities.

4. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key producers, understanding their unique needs and providing appropriate guidance and solutions.

5. Engage with key local clients, growing long-term risk management partnerships.

6. Represent Chubb at key industry events, showcasing our knowledge and capabilities.

7. Work with internal distribution teams to seek and drive alternative distribution channels for the SME segment.

Skills & Experience
1. 3-5 years experience in underwriting, sales, or cyber industry roles

2. Technical experience assessing risk, evaluating submissions, and making underwriting decisions

3. Proven track record of business development and achieving profitable revenue growth

4. Stakeholder management experience and the ability to manage matrix reporting lines

5. Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships with distribution partners such as brokers, agents, and intermediaries. Track record of effectively managing key accounts, negotiating terms and conditions, and delivering exceptional service to clients

6. Risk Assessment Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess risks accurately, identify potential exposures, and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Experience in conducting thorough risk inspections and effectively communicating risk-related information to stakeholders.

7. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with internal teams, external partners, and clients. Collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally with colleagues in product development, claims, and other departments to deliver comprehensive solutions and support to clients.
