Role Description

We are seeking an Underwriter/Senior Underwriter for a full-time, on-site position located in Singapore. The Underwriter/Senior Underwriter will be responsible for assessing and evaluating risks for various types of specialized insurance policies, developing underwriting strategies, conduct training and maintaining strong relationships with brokers to support their business. The Underwriter/Senior Underwriter will also collaborate with international teams to contribute to expanding the company's presence in Singapore, Hong Kong and Asia Pacific markets while delivering a high quality of service. We are open to candidates with experience in Commercial Lines, Business Development roles, Financial Lines, Property and Casualty.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, insurance policies, and underwriting practices
• Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
• Experience working with international teams and knowledge of multicultural markets
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure regulatory compliance in underwriting processes
• Proficiency in relevant tools and software for underwriting and risk analysis
• 5+ years of relevant experience in an underwriting role or specialized insurance sector
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Insurance, or a related field
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is an asset
