GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for managing and growing Financial Lines portfolio (focusing on Directors & Officers insurance, Crime, Professional Indemnity insurance, Financial Institution Insurance, Cyber Insurance) in Singapore and targeted markets within Asia Pacific region profitably.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop direct and assumed Financial Lines business in Singapore for any possible opportunities with brokers
- Reviews, analyses, accepts or rejects the new and renewals submissions for the Financial Lines business.
- Visits & maintain relationships with producers, clients and promotes Starr coverages, products and services.
- Develop business for achieving target from global Starr
- Grow revenue of business in Singapore and targeted APAC countries
- Management of the Singapore Financial Lines portfolio and underwriters
- Develop revenue and P/L budgets for immediate and future years.
- Ensure underwriting process compliance with company guidelines and authorities.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree or equivalent qualification with at least 6 years Financial Lines experience in underwriting
- High level of specialist knowledge and relationship of the Asia Pacific Financial Lines market
- Knowledge of insurance and risk management principles
- Ability to work independently and also ability to work well within a team environment
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Good analytical, numerical and literacy skills
- Proficient with computer, and experience with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and other industry related systems
