We are seeking a strategic, meticulous, and experienced Trade Services Officer to join our Trade Services team at RHB Banking Group. This role is responsible for driving trade business performance, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering highquality trade solutions that comply with international standards, regulatory requirements, and the Bank's internal policies.
As a Senior Trade Services Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies, international regulations, and best practices. You will play a key role in supporting our clients trade financing needs and contributing to the overall success of the Trade Services department.
Job Responsibilities
- Process and manage a wide range of trade finance products, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Documentary Collections, Trust Receipts, Guarantees, and other trade-related instruments.
- Review and verify all trade documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with UCP, ISBP, URC, URDG, and internal bank policies.
- Liaise with clients and internal departments to resolve discrepancies, clarify instructions, and ensure smooth transaction flow.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on trade finance products, regulations, and best practices.
- Monitor and track trade transactions, ensuring timely execution and follow-up on outstanding items.
- Identify and escalate potential risks or irregularities in trade transactions to management.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and reconciliation related to trade finance activities.
- Participate in departmental projects and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Keep abreast of changes in international trade finance regulations and market practices.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Trade Services within a banking environment.
- Strong understanding of international trade finance rules and practices (UCP, ISBP, URC, URDG).
- Proficient in processing various trade finance products.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
