To support the dedicated clinic for Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) collection, objective outcome measurement, and early protocolised therapeutic exercise intervention for surgical patients requiring prehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities:
PROM Administration and Data Collection:
- Administer standardised Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) to patients in a consistent and systematic manner
- Ensure high compliance rates for PROM completion through patient engagement and support
- Maintain accurate and complete data collection records
- Support the transition from doctor/nurse-administered PROMs to dedicated clinic-based collection
Objective Outcome Measurement:
- Conduct objective physical assessments and measurements as per established protocols
- Document and record objective data accurately for monitoring treatment progress
- Assist in maintaining equipment used for objective measurements
Therapeutic Exercise Intervention:
- Deliver early protocolised therapeutic exercise interventions for surgical patients
- Provide same-day physiotherapy sessions for prehabilitation as required
- Support patients in understanding and performing prescribed exercises
- Monitor patient progress during exercise sessions
Patient Care and Support:
- Provide excellent patient care and maintain high patient satisfaction levels
- Educate patients on the importance of prehabilitation and outcome measurement
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during all interventions
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support clinic scheduling and patient flow management
- Assist in quality improvement initiatives and data analysis
- Participate in training and professional development activities
Collaboration:
- Work closely with physiotherapists, doctors, and nursing staff
- Support the orthopaedic department's value-driven healthcare programmes
- Contribute to the expansion of clinical services
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant certification or training in therapy assistance or related healthcare field
- Experience in patient care and therapeutic interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation
