Senior Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for Core Banking applications and transformation initiatives.
• Prepare test strategy, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and functional requirements.
• Execute Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and End-to-End Testing.
• Review business requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
• Coordinate with business users, developers, solution architects, and project managers throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Identify, log, track, and resolve defects using defect management tools.
• Perform impact analysis for system enhancements and production releases.
• Support release validation, production verification, and post-deployment testing.
• Prepare testing metrics, status reports, and defect summaries for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote testing best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Core Banking Testing.
• Solid understanding of banking products such as CASA, Deposits, Loans, Payments, Customer Information, and General Ledger.
• Hands-on experience in Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, API Testing, and End-to-End Testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, HP ALM/Quality Center, or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience

• 8–15+ years of experience in Software Testing within the Banking and Financial Services domain.
• Proven hands-on experience in Core Banking Testing across multiple testing phases and large-scale banking transformation or implementation projects.
