  • Lead and manage the tender process for building construction projects.
  • Review tender drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities and contract documents.
  • Perform and review quantity take-offs, measurements and cost build-ups.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budget quotations and tender pricing.
  • Source and obtain quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and service providers.
  • Analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations for scope, compliance and competitiveness.
  • Prepare tender comparison and recommendation reports.
  • Develop tender pricing strategies and advise Management on pricing and commercial matters.
  • Identify project risks, opportunities and potential cost implications during the tender stage.
  • Review contract conditions and identify commercial and contractual risks.
  • Prepare tender qualifications, clarifications and risk allowances.
  • Coordinate tender queries, addenda and clarifications with clients and consultants.
  • Coordinate with Technical, Design, Planning, Procurement, Project teams to complete tender submissions.
  • Lead value engineering and cost-saving proposals where required.
  • Ensure tender submissions are complete, accurate and submitted on time.
  • Participate in tender interviews, negotiations and post-tender discussions.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, historical costs and market rates.
  • Conduct tender outcome and win/loss analysis for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate tender handover to the Project and Contracts Teams upon award.
  • Review the Letter of Award, contract documents, BQ, Schedule of Rates, drawings and specifications during handover.
  • Ensure tender pricing, qualifications, exclusions and commercial commitments are properly communicated to the Project Team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction works, including electrical systems, materials, installation, testing and associated costs.
  • Have 2-5 years of experience in electrical installation within the construction sector, or experience working as a Tender Quantity Surveyor (QS) specializing in electrical installation works.
  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, market pricing and local procurement practices.
